Gorilla Club wurde als Kindermusik-Inkarnation der Kölner Indiepop-Institution Locas In Love um Stefanie Schrank und Björn Sonnenberg gegründet. In ihren Songs und bei Konzerten begegnen Gorilla Club Kindern auf Augenhöhe, ein bisschen wie coole große Geschwister mit E-Gitarren, Synthesizern und einem lauten Schlagzeug – und sie lassen dabei Kategorien wie
„für Kinder oder „für Erwachsene“ komplett hinter sich. Während der Corona-Lockdowns von Frühling 2020 bis Anfang 2021 entstanden die 13 Songs vom zweiten Album „Ok Cool!“, dessen Lieder die Band nun auch live präsentiert.
